About the event

The inaugural Climpact conference brings together leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore new frontiers in climate litigation research. As climate cases multiply across jurisdictions and target both governments and private actors, the need for rigorous, interdisciplinary approaches to understanding their real-world impacts has never been more pressing.

This event marks the official launch of the Climpact project and offers a platform for critical dialogue on how litigation reshapes climate governance — from legislative reform and corporate behaviour to public discourse and social mobilisation. Panels and keynotes will address emerging methodological challenges, the evolving geography of climate cases, and the pathways through which judicial decisions translate into tangible policy and societal change.
