On 4 May 2026 , CLIMPACT officially launches with a kick-off event at the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro.
The event will open with a presentation of the project by Principal Investigator Dr. Giuseppe Naglieri, followed by a Keynote Lecture by Prof. Lukas Mayer (University of Graz) — "Staying Within One's Fair Share: Distributive Duties, Wrongful Harm, and Their Potential Relevance for Climate Litigation" — and a Q&A session.
CLIMPACT is the first large-scale, global research effort to systematically measure and evaluate the impacts of climate litigation. Funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research through the Fondo Italiano per la Scienza (Starting Grant, FIS 3), the project will analyse approximately 500 cases worldwide over four years, tracing how climate litigation transforms legal frameworks, public policies, corporate practices, public discourse, and market dynamics.
