The Committee safeguards ethical integrity and responsible research practices throughout the project. The D&RIC oversees data collection protocols, ensures protection of sensitive information and participant confidentiality and guarantees compliance with research ethics standards and GDPR requirements.Beyond data privacy, the Committee ensures Climpact's research practices align with environmental integrity principles and climate responsibility. This includes monitoring the project's environmental footprint, promoting low-carbon research practices, ensuring digital infrastructure minimizes energy consumption, and applying Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principles to project activities. The Committee ensures Climpact's knowledge production embodies the values it seeks to advance—ethical research practices, environmental responsibility, climate integrity, and transparency in knowledge generation.
