We're hiring | Postdoctoral Researcher in Sociology

CLIMPACT is recruiting its first team member: a postdoctoral researcher in sociology to investigate how climate litigation shapes public opinion, media narratives, and civil society mobilization across legal systems.

This is a 12-month fixed-term (renewable) research position based at the Jonic Department, University of Bari, funded through our FIS 3 Starting Grant (MUR — Italian Ministry of Universities and Research).

The selected researcher will contribute to Research Line A, working within an interdisciplinary team of legal scholars and social scientists to trace how litigation against governments produces effects beyond the courtroom — across policy, public discourse, and societal dynamics.

This is the first of several positions that will open as the project launches in May 2026.
